One sees the same visual elements over and over; a narrow winding road, a rickety mailbox, a weathered red barn - cliches from every country road and small town we've ever driven through. And yet, they're some of the things I love most about these places, maybe because they speak of a simpler time, which we all long for in some way. Autumn is perhaps the definitive season of such a time, with it's warm colors punctuating a more muted landscape. The vintage car parked by a majestic maple tree made this scene an irresistible one for me. |
