Printed on Rives BFK etching paper.

This was inspired by a scene just off Route 6A, Cape Cod, MA. Whenever I see this etching I am reminded of the time I visited my mom and dad in Toronto and brought some etchings. My father chose Back Road as a gift saying he liked it because if was quite "different from all the others" I had done. As a builder I am sure he appreciated the charm of a rustic shed with cedar shakes - though I don't think he ever put those on the sides of the homes he built. I photographed that shed many times over the years before I did the etching. It looked especially pretty with the pale turquoise door and trim and the bare branches, in the spring light.
