This etching was created around 1980 when John and I experimented with creating a colored plate in addition to the black plate. Usually the color plate would carry more than one color -if the colors were far enough apart from each other so as not to mix the colors when wiping the plate. This etching I believe had two plates. One carried the Teal Blue and also the Green, all done in aquatint. A second plate carried the Black ink done in line etching and aquatint. By the overlaying of the colored areas, and grey aquatint areat of the black plate a variety of colors were created.
