ONE OF A KIND SET, set consists of three proofs of Evening Glow, which I created in 1993. This etching was very popular and the colored edition sold out quickly. The copper plate for this etching is 8" x 12". The first proof (A) is the only unmarked line etching available. The other line proof (taken when I was working on the plate) was subsequently sketched over with notes scribbled in areas to indicate how long to etch areas, and probably thrown away, as I often did when I had completed the aquatint. The second print (B) is the first proof taken after I added aquatint to the line etching. The third print (C) is the completed work with the watercolor painted on. This print is number 111/450. |
