This etching was created in the spring of 1972 and was one of the first plates I etched with acid, after having concentrated on "Drypoint" etchings for 2 1/2 years. We had yet to give our artwork formal "titles" and sometimes gave them silly names. The code for this was "L23" and the name I gave it was "Fairyland". To me it had a quiet peaceful feeling - a place the edge of the woods where not many ventured.

This is an Artist's Proof, Not titled (unless you want me to write "Fairyland"), signed in pencil.
Printed on Rives BFK, a 100% rag paper from France
Hand painted with Winsor & Newton Water Colour
Image size is approx. 5"x 8" with 3-4" borders all around
