This is a very early etching, a drypoint with rich fuzzy blacks. This print is not titled but is signed "C. Collette" and numbered 38 / 100. The plate size is 6"x9" and it was printed on Rives BFK. The edition was only offered black and white. The inspiration for this etching was sand dunes on Cape Cod near Provincetown, MA. These windswept dunes reminded me of ocean waves - which makes sense as they they are both shaped by wind. |
